1.sophisticated (adj.)：

He was older than me and from London and I thought him very sophisticated.

2.plausible (adj.)：

seeming likely to be true, or able to be believed 貌似真實（或可信）的That explanation seems entirely plausible to me.

3.clever (adj.)：

having or showing the ability to learn and understand things quickly and easily 

聰明的

She has never been very clever, but she tries hard. 

4.essay (n.)：

a short piece of writing on a particular subject, especially one done by students as part of the work for a course 短文;論說文

My teacher wrote a nice comment about my essay. 

5.coherent (adj.)：

If someone is coherent, you can understand what that person says 條理清晰的

When she calmed down, she was more coherent.
